· Be responsible for andpro-active in the recruitment and selection of all Concierge talent

· Constantly reviewtraining needs within the department primarily through the hotel's appraisalsystem in conjunction with the Assistant Front Office Manager

· Implement and monitorminimum standards of service throughout the Department resulting in a GAPanalysis score of no less than 90%

· Responsible for theDepartmental roster, ensuring adequate Talent at all times. The Chief/HeadConcierge or his Deputy must be on duty between 07:00 am and 11:30 pm each day.

· Regular communicationwith the Night Manager regarding the supervision of the Night Concierge Talent,identifying and dealing with any issues that may arise

· Ensure that nosuspicious packages are accepted

· Ensure that allConcierge team are correctly dressed and groomed for work

· Ensure the efficientand prompt handling and delivery of all messages, facsimiles and parcelsthroughout the hotel

· Be familiar with allguest services within the Hotel and to ensure that all Concierge Talent arealso adequately furnished with such information

· Knowledgeable about theimmediate and surrounding area, while maintaining a library of relevantinformation

· Be familiar withcourier companies and their charges

· Be aware of the dailyschedule and activity of the hotel's drivers

· Be familiar with alldaily events and functions occurring within the Hotel and to effectivelycommunicate this information to all Talent on duty

· Ensure that theConcierge desk, Hotel entrance and Lobby kept clean and tidy at all times

· Aware of VIP visitorsand long-standing guests, offering them a polite and courteous personal service

· Establish and maintainan effective communication system with Reception/Front Office Management andAirport Services with regard to VIP arrivals and departures

· Regularly conductdepartmental meetings, encouraging two-way communication when doing so
