1.Manage the daily activities of the department.

2. Planand organize work, communicate goals, and schedule colleagues to ensure propercoverage.

3. Ensureall colleagues are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed toeffectively carry out their respective job duties.

4. Educate/traincolleagues on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all local lawsand safety regulations.

8. Monitor budget and control expenseswithin all areas of the department.

10. Establish and maintain procedures to: (1)ensurethe security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment,furniture, televisions, etc., (2) replenish supplies andinventory in a timely and efficient manner to minimize waste.

11. Work with Design andConstruction team, engineers, and/or outside architects regarding renovationsand other such projects; contact contractors for bids and meet withappropriate construction supervisors.

12.May be responsible for determining the securityrequirements necessary to ensure that hotel property, colleagues, residents andpatrons are protected against theft, crime, and other hazards, and/or managethe relationship with a third party security firm contracted for such purposes.
