Responsible for developing a marketing plan for the hotel within the Sales & Marketing
Department which reflects the strategic objectives of the hotel.

• Responsible for implementing and managing the strategies required to achieve the
marketing plan objectives and meet agreed sales revenue targets.

• Perform human resources functions to ensure that colleagues are selected, trained,
counselled and rewarded to maintain performance standards.

• Maintain a positive community image for self and hotels and remain current on local
business trends. Participate in voluntary organisations which are business related.

• Plan and develop and implement all systems and processes necessary to ensure the
successful consolidation of the Hotels' Sales, Marketing and Reservations.

• Direct the development and implementation of the Hotels' consolidated annual sales and
marketing plan.

• Direct the Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Communications Departments to achieve
the objectives laid down in the annual sales & marketing plan in the timeframe specified.

• Liaise on a regular basis with the Managers of other departments to provide guidance and
share experience for the benefit of hotel.

• Direct, lead and control the Sales Operation.

• Direct, lead and control the Reservations Department.
• Provide guidance, motivation to/and oversee Training programmes for all S&M Colleagues.

• Direct and control the Appraisal Procedure.

• Ensure the product is effectively displayed in all Distribution Channels.
