Your day to day
• Cultivate relationships with external vendors and strategic partners to enhance IHG's visibility among internal and external customers.
• Actively pursue opportunities to leverage strengths, capitalize on market conditions, and counter competitive threats.
• Stay informed about developments in Strategic Account Management and Team-Based Sales to provide relevant guidance.
• Evaluate ROI for sales opportunities and achieve or surpass assigned performance targets.
• Assist Leadership in formulating overall business strategies for the team; review and manage controllable expenses as needed.
• Direct regular reporting activities related to account tracking, business trend, market insight, etc.
• Ensure effective measurements of process and outcomes of business and account plans.
• Oversee the use and maintenance of internal systems.
• Assume the role of Subject Matter Expert in matters related to specific areas of expertise in Corporate Travel, Groups, Meetings, and other productive segments. Responsible for the business of not only GC but also the entire IHG global hotels.
• Collaborate with commercials and other functional areas to assist in developing business segment, revenue stream, and/or geographical area sales strategies
Experience
5 or more years of progressive work-related experience in the service industry with at least 3 years in multi-unit or corporate roles, as well as demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position. Extensive sales experience is required, as well as client management experience among large, complex meeting & incentive agencies.
