Duties And Responsibilities 职责和任务:
1.To oversee the smooth running of a banquet function ensuring we provide our guests with banquet products and service in the most efficient, friendly and helpful manner according to the function event order and according to the standards set by the F&B Department.
2.Enforce grooming policy to ensure that staffs report to work punctually in accordance with the roster, dressed in appropriate uniform and with impeccable grooming which complies with the Hotel’s policy and procedures.
3.Be responsible for the preparation of banquet rooms prior to function, i.e. be familiar with set-up / room layout and be responsible for clearing, resetting and cleaning of banquet rooms after events. Ensure banquet rooms are tidy and presentable at all times.
4.Enforce the standards and sequence of service for the function.
5.Handle complaints in a mature manner with the aim of satisfying the guest before the end of the function to avoid the need for further follow up. Notify Assistant F&B Manager, Banquet Manager, Assistant Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Supervisor of all serious complaints.
6.Maintain a visible appearance in the banquet room during the function to quickly identify the needs of guests, management and associates.
7.Understand fully all emergency evacuation procedures and ensure that all associates working at the function are trained in and aware of these procedures.
8.During service, supervise to maintain cleanliness and appearance of immediate work area, including tables, stations, bar area, back-of-house preparation areas etc. Maintain standard of cleanliness of all items of operating equipment within these areas.
9.Advise Banquet Manager and/or Assistant Banquet Manager of any damage, spillage or breakage. Complete requisitions and maintenance work orders to fix damages/breakages.
10.Adhere to and enforce correct procedures for entering guest rooms when required to do so.
11.Assist the Banquet Manager and Assistant Banquet Manager with induction, training, coaching, counseling and development of associates
12.Be familiar with all current menus and beverage lists in F&B department and engage in and promote active upselling. Be aware of any promotions, daily specials and/or out of stock items and advise associates and guests as and when appropriate.
13.Ensure all administration and paperwork is arranged according to established banquet procedures.
14.Conduct banquet function briefing sessions prior to events to communicate all relevant information concerning the function.
15.Supervise subordinates(banquet waiter) to ensure efficient operations during the function. Ensure that staffs are operating according to their job description.
16.Liaise with banquet sales executive after function to provide feedback on the event.
17.Complete ‘Craft Trainer Certificate’ and ‘Group Training Certificate’ courses and then be able to hold individual and group on-the-job training sessions with colleagues and subordinates as required.
18.Due to operation issue, staff has to able to perform any other duties or transfer to other outlet of the hotel if necessary.
