Director of Learning & Development willbe responsible all learning and organizational development activities arealigned to the corporate direction. Furthermore, the Director of Learning &Development is responsible for providing as well as “Promoting a Climate of Enthusiasm” amongst all levels throughout the hotelby creating and ensuring colleague satisfaction through effective learning anddevelopment.
Duties and Supporting Responsibilities:
1. Maximize learning byproviding a creative, fun and exciting environment in the delivery of suchtraining sessions as: Welcome Orientation, computer trainings, other servicetrainings, etc.
2. Assisting to ensurethat MOGZH colleagues learning needs are met by assisting and arrangingresources to Departmental Trainers for programs to be conducted throughout thehotel, such as the Departmental Learning Program.
3. Maintain the TrainingCentre, inclusive of all equipment, books and materials.
4. Assist in observingand appraising colleague performance during training sessions, providingfeedback to Learning and Development Director and concerned management whichwould facilitate improvements in accordance to MOHG standards with regard toproduct and performance.
5. To ensure allindividual colleague learning & development records within SHIJI System bytracking, inputting and maintaining.
6. To monitor and overseedepartmental learning programs as stated on the Learning and DevelopmentPolicies including, New Hire Learning, LQE required training, LanguageTraining, FHLSS & Food Handling and Sanitation, and other relatedtrainings.
7. Support all efforts toenliven our Company’s Mission, Guiding Principles and Legendary Quality Experiencesthroughout the hotel leading by example and serving as a role model.
8. Work closely withentire P&C Team regarding promoting an “employer of choice” philosophy.
9. Ensuring themaintenance of Learning and Development related bulletin boards and updatingDaily LQE Pillars.
10. Assist the P&C Executivein all colleague recognition programs to include parties& celebrations andother time basis events.
11. Maintenance of attendance recordsand other documentation related to the Learning and Development efforts.
12. Ensure security andconfidentiality of all information throughout the hotel.
13. Monitor the departmentaldevelopment of Learning and Development monthly planners.
14. Conducting meetings withdepartment Directors and departmental trainers to assess specific learningneeds.
15. Support all internship programboth China and Overseas, such as conducting interview, contacting the interns,arrangement prior to the onboard with HR team.
16. Ensure the grooming standard ofcolleagues is up to standards of Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou.
17. Support the external trainingprogram by liaising and arranging with the external personnel, as well aswithin the hotel.
18. Assist in the arrangement for allexternal training and cross exposure outside Guangzhou
Job Requirement:
1. 5 years relatedexperience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.
2. Proficient in the useof Microsoft Office.
3. Effectivecommunication and presentation skills in both Chinese & English.
4. Responsible andpositive attitude can work under pressure and with team work spirit.
5. Fluent Englishspeaking and writing skill.
6. Able to manage, trainand motivate the team.
