Based at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai within the Food & Beverage Service Department, The Events Operations Captain reports to the Director of Events Operations.
As Events Operations Captain will be responsible for the following duties:
The Banquet Captain is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall management on Banquet. To provide back up for the Manager and offer support in ensuring that the highest standards of service are offered to our guests.
As Events Operations Captain we expect from you:
Have a minimum of 1 year experience in related food and beverage establishmentHave a keen interest in food and the culinary ambitions of the establishment.Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.Work in a safe, prudent and organized mannerHave an in-depth knowledge of food and preparationHave a good knowledge of wine and beveragesBe able to relate to all levels of guests and managementHave the ability to handle multiple tasks at one timeHave excellent communication and organization skillsBe able to consistently delight and satisfy our guestHave the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed mannerReading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and local languageProfessional appearance and demeanor at all timesHave mathematical skills, computer software aptitude (as required) and some hotel operationknowledgeBe aware and adhere to key MOHG competencies:Delighting our clientsWorking together as ColleaguesPromoting a Climate of EnthusiasmBeing the BestDelivering Shareholder ValuePlaying by the rulesActing with responsibility
