THE TEAM
You will be part of the Food & Beverage team, working within a dynamic and guest-focused environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Manager - Outlet, you will collaborate closely with service leaders and associates to deliver exceptional dining experiences and uphold Rosewood’s luxury standards.
YOUR ROLE
As Sommelier, you play a key role in elevating the dining experience through expert wine knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and seamless service. You will contribute to revenue growth and guest satisfaction by curating wine selections, driving wine sales, and ensuring optimal cellar management. Working closely with both front-of-house and culinary teams, you will help create memorable moments for guests while maintaining excellence in beverage operations.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Provide expert wine recommendations and drive sales of wines and beverages to enhance guest experience
- Collaborate with the kitchen to create effective wine pairings that complement the menu
- Maintain and update wine lists, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and optimal pricing
- Manage wine inventory, including stock control, cellar organization, and minimizing variance
- Train and coach service associates on wine knowledge and food pairing to elevate service standards
- Engage with guests, handle feedback, and build strong relationships to support revenue and loyalty
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a well-established hotel or luxury dining environment
- You possess strong wine knowledge with a passion for guest engagement and storytelling
- You are a team player who communicates effectively across all levels
- You demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to continuously learn
- You are guest-focused, approachable, and confident in delivering personalized service
- You are fluent in English with strong communication skills, both written and spoken
