Job Summary:
1. Responsible in achieving the room and catering sales objectives of the hotel.
2. Assists the Director of Sales & Marketing in the development of Sales & Marketing plan and in budget preparation.
3. Represents and promotes the hotel by maintaining constant contact with the market and the customer base locally and internationally through Customer Relationship Management.
4. Supervisors the Sales & Marketing department to ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
5. To act as the deputy of the Director of Sales & Marketing in his/her absence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assists in the planning and development of marketing strategies and promotion plans.
2. Assists in the development and implementation of the Sales and Marketing plan.
3. Monitors and evaluates contemporary sales and marketing initiatives and trends.
4. Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure they are effectively managing their accounts and maximising opportunities. Focus on new business opportunities whilst maintaining the existing accounts.
5. Conducts market research.
6. Reports on the effectiveness of Sales and Marketing programs.
7. Assists in setting up systems to monitor achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
8. Manages & assists in strategic department planning and development.
9. Institutes suitable process to allow for efficient and effective utilization of departmental resources.
10. Assists in developing procedures for implementation and monitoring of reporting systems.
11. Ensures compliance with business operations laws.
12. Ensures compliance with hospitality operations laws.
13. Forecast, analyze and report Sales Performance results.
14. Accesses and analyzes sales and marketing data.
15. Assists and supervises in the execution of sales and marketing plan.
16. Assists in the development of new products and services.
17. Assists and supervises the development of marketing strategies.
18. Promotes products and services.
19. Evaluates sales and marketing programs and strategies.
20. Develop and supervise all sales activities.
21. Manages staff performance and quality improvement.
22. Considers economical, political and social issues relevant to the department.
23. Considers tourism issues relevant to the hotel.
24. Manages department finances, purchasing and stock control.
25. Coordinates and manages work and daily operation within the department.
26. Manages industrial relations. Prevents and resolves grievances.

28. Manages guest services.
29. Manages the sales and promotions of products and services.
30. Maintains computer systems.

39. Represents the hotel and participates in domestic and international sales activities.
40. Carries out other tasks as directed by supervisor
Job Knowledge / Skill:
1. Leadership skills and knowledge of all tasks within the area of responsibility.
2. Knowledge and experience in Internet and other major computer programs.
3. Ability to use Sales and Front Office computer systems.
4. Knowledge in Corporate, Leisure, MICE and Catering.
5. Ability and understanding of the market and competition.
Additional Skill required:
1. Excellent written and spoken Mandarin & English are a must.
2. Good computer skills with minimum requirement in use of Microsoft Windows XP or higher, Microsoft Office 2000 or higher, Internet and other popular software.
3. Good interpersonal & communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
