Position Description:
1. Develops leads and handles inquiries for socialevents (eg. Meeting). Maximizes up-selling when possible.
2. Ensure thatthe information disseminated to the MICE Sales Team are continuously updated(eg. Banquet inventory list, menus, andbeverage).
3. Closely monitors account revenue and businessproduction. Adjusts strategies, procedures or account coverage as needed toachieve the planned goals.
4. Analysesmarket trends. Under the direction of the Commercial Director plans andimplements proactive programs with Director of Sales to improve market share.
5. Reviews direct competition and market changes.Ensures complete awareness by the Banquet Sales Team of how to meet thesechanges and of competitors’ activities at all times.
6. Responsible for quality control & productionperformance of group catering revenue and group room nights.
7. Develops on-going relationships with customers.Participates in relationship building visitations when necessary.
8. Prepares monthly group catering forecast and grouproom forecast.
9. Ensureseffective/close communication and good working relationships within thedepartment and with other departments.
10. Maintainsclose and frequent communication with the Commercial Director and Director ofSales in order to maximize the hotel profit through effective yield & spacemanagement.
11. Conductsand attends meetings as required.
12. Maintainstimely & responsive communication with clients.
13. Activelyparticipates in the development and execution of the Marketing Plan.
14. Takesownership in achieving departmental goals which contribute to the Hotel budget.
15. Plansand establishes goals for department. Motivates and directs team member toachieve the department goals.
16. Recruits,selects, trains and motivates. MICE Sales Team to realise their potential.Develops individuals for advancement within the Hilton group.
17. Assuresunderstanding of job responsibilities, goals, and standards of performance for MICESales Team; and conducts formal semi-annual evaluations and on-going coachingand counselling.

2. Produces and executes BusinessDevelopment budgets and business plans.
3. Effectively promotes and positions the brand andthe hotel at its desirous level.
