As a team with a high profile and reputation, The Peninsula Shanghai is looking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for the hotel's Food & Beverage department to ensure high quality service.

【Key Responsibilities】
• Oversee daily F&B operations across all outlets, ensure all staff deliver consistent Five-Star Peninsula service, and actively engage with guests while providing on-the-job coaching and direction to the team
• Inspect order setups, food presentation, and dish appearance upon service to guarantee strict adherence to quality, portion, and brand standards
• Resolve all guest complaints promptly and thoroughly before guests depart the hotel
• Always maintain immaculate cleanliness in all F&B service areas, and ensure strict compliance with health, sanitation, and recycling procedures
• Conduct regular pre-shift briefings to review daily specials, menu knowledge, serving techniques, special handling requirements, and conduct uniform/grooming inspections to uphold Peninsula’s brand image
• Collaborate with culinary teams to develop luxury menu offerings tailored to our high-end clientele
• Enforce safe work practices and work closely with the Risk Management Director to maintain a secure environment for both staff and guests
• Lead by example and strictly enforce Peninsula’s standards and Code of Conduct across the department
• Create weekly staff schedules based on hotel occupancy rates and business forecast projections
• Implement cost control procedures, minimize linen misuse and operational waste, and make real-time operational adjustments to achieve planned profit goals
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering departments to address all maintenance and repair needs promptly
• Develop business expansion strategies to increase sales from existing clientele, and plan promotional activities, staff incentives, and contests to drive revenue
• Assist in executing hotel public relations and brand marketing programs
• Foster and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with all hotel departments
• Deliver on-the-job training and implement corrective measures in a constructive, positive manner
• Keep F&B senior management fully informed of all operational developments, issues, and key updates
• Support cashiers in resolving billing disputes by providing accurate backup documentation
• Exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions within the scope of the position’s responsibilities
【General requirements】
• Food & Beverage experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
• Having 1st tier China city work experience for last 3 years is a must
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate appropriate prioritization skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a responsible and responsive manner
• Strong leadership and motivational skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Customer service oriented
• Passionate about hospitality and luxury service
