· Reporting to the General Manager of the consolidated hotels,devise and implement full spectrum of sales, marketing and graphic plans forthe Hotel to effectively complete the proposed consolidation of the function,achieve marketing and sales goals and maximise yield.· Responsible for developing a marketing plan for the hotelwithin the Sales & Marketing department which reflects the strategicobjectives of the hotel.· Responsible for implementing and managing the strategiesrequired to achieve the marketing plan objectives and meet agreed sales revenuetargets.· Perform human resources functions to ensure that colleague areselected, trained, counselled and rewarded to maintain performance standards.· Maintain a positive community image for self andhotels and remain current on local business trends. Participate in voluntaryorganisations which are business related.· Plan and develop and implement all systems and processesnecessary to ensure the successful consolidation of the Hotels' Sales,Marketing and Reservations.· Direct the development and implementation of the Hotels'consolidated annual sales and marketing plan.· Direct the Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Public RelationsDepartments within the Consolidated Marketing Office to achieve the objectiveslaid down in the annual sales & marketing plan in the timeframe specified.· Liaise on a regular basis with the Managers of otherdepartments to provide guidance and share experience for the benefit of WHM.· Supervise preparations and definition of the Sales &Marketing Plan and manual for the department and participate in setting up thesales & marketing policies, procedures and objectives.· Actively involved in the recruitment of all members of theSales & Marketing Team in conjunction with HR.· Through various tools (e.g. media, social events, gatheringswith competition etc.), explore economic data, new developments in certaincompanies’structures, new assignments, industrial complexes, new business centres, newprojects which all could be of interest and benefit of the hotel and distributethis information to relevant colleagues.· Supervise (and handle whennecessary) the group and individual reservation requests. Follow-up theprogress of the booked business.· Undertake duties andspecial projects as required from time to time by supervisor.
