It was first built in 1936 and served as the mansion of Mr Long Yun, the then Yunnan Provincial Governor. The special historical background endowed it with profound cultural connotations. Natural and cultural scenery coexist in harmony, which makes it unique in Kunming. It has been an important place for government affairs ever since the P.R.C established of China.The guest house occupies an area of 138 mu (9 hectares), with which 75% covered with trees and gardens.
